Faith Community Nursing Ministry
Caring for the Mind, Body, and Spirit of Our Parish Family
The Faith Community Nursing Ministry supports the health and well‑being of our parish by offering education, preventive care, and compassionate guidance rooted in our Catholic faith. Our mission is to help parishioners care for their whole selves—mind, body, and spirit—through practical resources and a ministry of presence.
What We Do
Our parish nurses provide a variety of services designed to promote safety, awareness, and healthy living within our community:
- Monthly Blood Pressure Screenings Offered once a month to help parishioners stay informed and proactive about their health.
- CPR Certification & Skills Refreshers Full certification courses are hosted every two years, with hands‑on practice sessions offered in between to keep skills sharp.
- Educational Health Speakers We research and invite knowledgeable presenters on topics parishioners express interest in—from wellness and nutrition to aging and emergency preparedness.
- AED Maintenance & Emergency Readiness Our ministry secured an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for parish use. It is checked weekly to ensure it is fully operational, with batteries and pads replaced as needed.
Through these efforts, our nurses help parishioners feel supported, informed, and cared for in every season of life.
