Faith, Hope, and Charity Committee
“Love your neighbor as yourself.” — Mark 12:31
Our Mission
The Faith, Hope, and Charity Committee is dedicated to embracing, illuminating, and inspiring the fulfillment of Christ’s command to love our neighbor. Rooted in compassion and guided by the Gospel, we nurture the spiritual growth of individuals, families, and our entire parish community by serving those in need—both within our parish and throughout the surrounding area.
The committee meets monthly from September through June and welcomes new members who feel called to serve with generosity and joy.
How We Serve
Our outreach focuses on supporting the poor, the vulnerable, and the homebound through a variety of charitable initiatives:
Food Collections
We regularly collect non‑perishable food items to support local families in need.
Volunteers are needed to help sort and organize donated items.
Christmas Angel Tree Project
Each Advent, parishioners donate toys and gifts for children and families served by local agencies.
Volunteers are needed to sort, wrap, and prepare gifts for distribution.
Fundraising Breakfasts
Twice a year, we host parish breakfasts to raise funds for our charitable outreach.
Volunteers are needed to set up the church hall, arrange tables, prepare place settings, and serve food.
All service opportunities are open to high school students and adults, and community service hours can be earned.
Good Samaritan Packs
“I was hungry and you gave me food… I was a stranger and you welcomed me.” — Matthew 25:35
The committee also sponsors an ongoing project called Good Samaritan Packs, providing basic necessities to individuals experiencing homelessness—especially those encountered at street corners or highway ramps.
